Coalescers/separators
Coalescers and separators are used to separate liquid and gas streams.
A coalescer is used to merge small droplets in a liquid stream into larger droplets, which can then be more easily separated from the liquid.
On the other hand, a separator is used to separate fluids of different densities from each other, such as oil and water. This is achieved by allowing the heavier fluid to sink downwards and the lighter fluid to float to the surface.
